This Privacy Policy describes how Vorynx Esports (“Vorynx”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Vorynx Cups website, desktop app, Discord bot, and related tournament services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Discord account information — when you log in with Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, and the list of Discord servers you belong to (for server selection). We store OAuth tokens needed to keep you signed in.
• Epic Games account information — when you verify your Epic account or connect a lobby bot, we may receive your Epic display name, Epic account ID, and authentication tokens required for verification and in-game lobby features. We do not ask for or store your Epic password.
• Tournament and gameplay data — Epic usernames you submit for signups, scrims, cups, leaderboards, match statistics (such as eliminations and placements), and related scoring data.
• Discord server configuration — settings you choose in the dashboard (channels, ticket panels, voice hub settings, and similar options) for servers you manage.
• Technical data — basic server logs (such as request timestamps and error messages) used to operate and secure the Service.
• Cookies — a session cookie (vorynx) to keep you logged in to the website. This cookie is HttpOnly and used only for authentication.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Authenticate you and provide access to the dashboard and Discord features
• Verify Epic account ownership for tournament signups and scrims
• Run custom cups, scrims, leaderboards, and live scoring
• Operate lobby bot features (such as friend requests, party join, and custom match key delivery)
• Provide voice channel, ticket, and community tools configured by server staff
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability of the Service

3. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties that have their own privacy policies:

• Discord — login, bot, and server features
• Epic Games — Epic account verification and Fortnite lobby features
• fortnite-api.com — public Fortnite player and match statistics for custom cup scoring
• Cito API — optional official tournament data where enabled

When you use OAuth with Discord or Epic, those providers process your data under their own terms and privacy policies. We only receive the data needed for the features you use.

4. Data storage and retention

Data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider and retained for as long as needed to operate the Service, maintain tournament records, and comply with legal obligations. Session data expires after a period of inactivity. Server administrators may request removal of guild-specific configuration data.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

• With service providers that help us host and operate the platform
• When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Vorynx and users
• Within Discord servers you join, where tournament signups, leaderboards, or verification status are displayed to staff or other members as part of normal Service operation

6. Your choices

• You can log out of the website at any time, which clears your session cookie.
• You can revoke Discord or Epic authorization through those platforms’ account settings.
• You may contact us to request access to or deletion of data associated with your account, subject to legitimate operational and legal requirements.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International users

The Service may be operated from and processed on servers located in various regions. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in locations where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
